Day & Night Comes to Chaos Pirates

The world of Chaos Pirates has come alive. Day and night now turn over on a 4-hour cycle across every map. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, and every shadow sweeps across the ground as the sun moves overhead — long at dawn and dusk, short at high noon.

And the time of day matters: some events only happen by day, and others only after dark — so when you set sail shapes what you can do.

The cycle

Day and night turn over every 4 hours (Central time):

• 12am – 4am — ☀️ Day
• 4am – 8am — 🌙 Night
• 8am – 12pm — ☀️ Day
• 12pm – 4pm — 🌙 Night
• 4pm – 8pm — ☀️ Day
• 8pm – 12am — 🌙 Night

It's brightest in the middle of each block (2am / 10am / 6pm) and darkest in the middle of each night (6am / 2pm / 10pm), with a smooth ~20-minute twilight right at every turn.
